XR Research Intern

San Mateo, CA

About the role:

As an XR (Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality) Research Intern at PlayStation, you will work with HMD prototype technologies, creating compelling experiences around these new technologies. You will be expected to work with in-development hardware, engineering various software components or game engine, whilst learning state-of-the art approaches. This will culminate in a user experience demo, showcasing all your efforts.

Qualifications:
  • You are expected to have knowledge and experience building 3D graphics applications, utilizing middleware engines (Unity, UE4, etc), as well as the fundamental understanding of mathematics around 3D graphics.
  • A basic understanding of, augmented reality, virtual reality, computer vision, the head mounted display technologies and techniques is also required.
  • You should already be proficient in at least one computer programming language such as C++, C#, JavaScript and Python.
