As a founding member of Oculus’ Collaboration, Productivity, Work, and general purpose computing experiences related content efforts, you will work with the most creative and innovative developers, creators and publishers in VR and AR. You will help VR/AR developers build non-game applications that enable people to create, consume, collaborate in ways that further productive pursuits or economic outcomes. This will include emerging VR categories such as meetings, creative tools, design tools, business apps and as yet unimagined experiences. This is a zero to one opportunity to work on pre-product market fit ideas and create and implement strategies and plans to bring products to market in collaboration with external developers, stakeholders, or partners.You will manage partners throughout their development cycle from concept to application launch to ongoing updates. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the long-term success of our developers in the Oculus Store by enabling them on business model, production and technical topics. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with product, business development, store, marketing & communications teams to ensure a world-class developer experience, and that our consumers are thrilled with the caliber of content found on Oculus platforms.

  • Enable, support and manage relationships with the top tier of developer partners, ensuring a world-class developer experience
  • Track, supervise, elevate execution risks and help mitigate them across the developers product life cycle from concept submission to launch
  • Translate developer strategy into plans that are clear and measurable, with progress shared out at key product and project milestones to stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally with internal product, store, engineering, policy, legal, marketing, and PR teams to launch non-game applications for businesses and consumers
  • Work closely with product management teams to land the Oculus strategy for collaboration and productivity applications
  • Champion the needs of our developers in the development of VR and AR products and services
  • Translate developer needs to internal product teams, and be an advocate for Oculus-driven platform initiatives with our partners
  • Collaborate with our Analytics teams to identify new areas and opportunities for growth, and provide insights and intelligence in support of our partners
  • Help developers experiment with go to market models that help them build a profitable, sustainable business in partnership with business development and growth teams
  • Evangelize new and existing VR technologies with developers to ensure they are able to take full advantage of ongoing enhancements and improvements
  • Can travel frequently for partner meetings, domestically and internationally (post COVID-19)
  • 4+ years of business development, partnerships and/or publishing experience within the games, media, entertainment, SaaS, productivity & collaboration apps, electronics, technology/platform, early-stage internet/consumer technology companies
  • Project management experience, with experience in managing milestones, schedules and tracked tasks
  • Track record of working with external developers or vendors
  • Demonstrated experience with data-driven decision-making
  • Experience building partnerships across multiple internal cross functional groups and external developers
  • Strategic thinker with the experience balancing and prioritize short-term solutions while keeping the long-term vision in mind
  • BA or BS degree
  • Understanding of general development pipelines for 3D applications
  • Familiarity with the emerging VR content ecosystem
  • Experience creating developer policies, platform terms of service
