The low-level software infrastructure we are developing enables spatial computing devices to efficiently synchronize a shared world state and distributed computational logic via a novel protocol.


With our technology we are developing mobile applications that empower video creators to jump into CGI filmmaking. Using mobile augmented reality as an input mechanism, creators can animate objects such as virtual cameras just like their live-action equivalents.

Role Description:

  • As Teleportal’s first full-time technical artist, you will be responsible for creating 3D characters and worlds through which our products' Guests will tell stories. You will play a crucial role in our product design process and help define what types of stories can be told in the product initially.
  • Currently, our product is designed such that all 3D content be delivered by our team. You will also help our product evolve to enable our Guests to create or import their own 3D content into the product.


Key Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working with Unity and/or Unreal Engine.
  • Experience developing automation scripts to speed up lengthy and repetitive parts of the design process.
  • Interest in and ability to learn new skills/tools quickly.
  • 3D generalist: high level understanding of all parts of 3D production (Games, 3D Animation or VFX).
  • Experience creating assets (environments, characters, props) from scratch using tools such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Houdini and Substance.
  • Key workflows: concept, modeling, surfacing, rigging.
  • Experience working with and/or designing for AR/VR devices.
  • Startup experience.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Asset Creation + Import
  • Design and create 3D characters/scenes (model, texture, rig) for the product.
  • Take existing 3D content and perform necessary conversion/prep in order to bring it into the product.
  • Art Direction
  • Conceptualize and bring fresh ideas in interactive/3D to life.
  • Support in hiring freelance artists to support your vision and provide them with direction.
  • Evaluate design/style of 3D content and animation in our product to improve it.
  • Pipeline support
  • Help develop and standardize the process through which 3D content enters the product.
