In Facebook Reality Labs (FRL), we're building the next generation of devices and experiences that make people feel closer. This includes Oculus and Portal products, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) software and content, and research and development labs. FRL Brand Design team solves bigger strategic problems for the business and our brands using design as a strategic tool and drives the design evolution and execution of our FRL brands. The main focus areas are 1) bringing Brand Strategies to life, 2) building scalable design systems, platforms and programs and 3) designing consistent, meaningful, and innovative brand experiences. We are currently seeking a Head of Digital Experience who can set the vision and design for our customer’s end-to-end digital experience across all FRL brands. This person will direct a holistic view across web, e-commerce, social, advertising, and helping push into new digital channels. They will be involved in early planning and strategy along with other Creative Leads, Marcom Leads, and Marketing Strategists. The Head of Digital Experience will work in partnership with creatives to lead and develop the overall digital customer experience strategy, lead product launches and execute on all digital design. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned creative leader who can balance business goals and performance while delivering best-in-class creative. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, semi-structured and collaborative environment is critical. This person must be comfortable guiding teams, freelancers, agencies, and production partners, but should be willing to roll up the sleeves and get hands-on when needed.
Responsibilities
- Set the vision and direct all digital work across existing and future FRL brands
- Understand end-to-end and holistic customer experience: web, e-commerce, social, advertising, digital experiences in retail and other physical touch points, balancing a vision to bring consistency while understanding best-in -class for each channel as well
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Development, Sales/Retail etc.) to develop effective and innovative solutions
- A brilliant collaborator - willing to shape ideas as well as build on the ideas of others
- Lead agencies as well as manage, mentor and grow the internal design team
- Strong ability to provide clear creative direction, career path guidance and timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on budget and schedule
- Possesses a designer mindset - balancing strategy and design, always advocating for the end-user
Minimum Qualification
- 10+ years experience delivering creative work on projects, across a variety of digital touch points
- Experience with performance marketing and e-commerce
- Understanding of various social and digital platforms and tools
- Experience with creative storytelling
- Experience leading and managing both in-house and/or external teams in creative strategy, execution and production
- Experience presenting and communicating with all levels of both internal and external organizations
