Job Description
Expected compensation: $91.00 - $110.00 per hour
HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire a Technical Lead (AR/VR) to work directly with a team of seasoned video game producers and the world’s best game studios to deliver multiple triple-A titles based on top-tier global IPs.
In this role, you’ll join a team that is managing multiple large projects in-flight at any given time, adding your expertise in game development and software-in-development. You’ll also participate in project gate reviews, solve production problems in collaboration with the company’s producers/partners, add leverage where needed, and improve internal processes/execution.
We’re looking for candidates who have the experience to quickly build strong partnerships across multiple, internal cross-functional groups and external studios/IP partners, instilling confidence and identifying gaps in the company's technology.
As a Technical Lead (AR/VR), You Will
- Collaborate with studio producers to ensure timely delivery of large/complex projects built by internal teams and external partners (including some of the top studios and brands in the world) by working through influence to identify/solve technical, process, development, and production issues.
- Act as a liaison between internal product leaders, software leaders, and studio partners on technical plans, software development roadmaps, features, and policies.
- Advocate for issues that the company’s teams and titles need addressed—driving, tracking, and reporting out on resolutions.
- Serve as a bridge between platform/OS and content development teams to minimize collisions and compatibility issues.
- Evangelize value-add platform features to content teams.
- Evaluate, track, and report on technical progress, results, risks, mitigations, and opportunities for the project being managed by the organization.
- Solve problems and suggest solutions for technical challenges, bringing the right people together to solve problems and resolve bottlenecks.
- Connect the right people, set the framework/context, and communicate frequently, forming collaborative relationships to make things happen.
- Jump into critical service outage situations, assess the problem, gather the right people, and drive the issue to resolution as soon as possible to mitigate impact to the company’s customers.
- Understand technical plans for the company’s biggest investments, identifying issues and proposing solutions whether internal or off-the-shelf.
- Translate strategy into plans that are clear and measurable, with progress shared out monthly to stakeholders.
- Serve as a bridge between the company’s development and legal teams to vet its titles through the lens of privacy and integrity.
- Potentially take over complex projects with multiple owners and drive them through completion.
