We’re looking for a Product Designer to join the Spectacles Product Experience team to design innovative input experiences for the next generation of cameras and wearable computers.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers and product managers to invent the future of multi-modal input for wearable AR, from concept to launch, for existing and future Snap Lab products
  • Conceive and define realistic product requirements for novel input methods like hands, voice, eyes, etc.
  • Work directly with Prototypers, Engineers and UX Researchers to implement prototypes, provide feedback, execute user tests, and iterate on designs based on the data and user feedback
  • Document and deliver the final design specifications to partner engineering teams and champion the integration and quality assurance of those designs
  • Present your work directly to the CEO
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Familiarity with AR/VR prototyping tools including Unity, Lens Studio or other similar tools
  • Ability to design and prototype 3D, spatial interfaces for AR/VR products
  • Proficiency with 3D design tools including Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, or other similar tools
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and writing skills
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years professional experience designing for AR/VR products
  • Proficiency in designing using Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Principle, AfterEffects, or similar tools
  • A strong design portfolio showcasing examples of input and interaction design experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in design, technology and/or human-computer interaction
  • Experience designing hand and voice interaction experiences
  • Experience with both creative and analytical design thinking
  • Experience with human-computer interaction and UX research best practices and professional literature
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for Snapchat and Spectacles products!
