Gears of War, XCom 2, Sorcery and
The Evil Within.
In 2016, we joined forces with Skydance Media to form Skydance Interactive and set our sights on becoming the premiere studio in the burgeoning arena of Virtual Reality. Following the success of our first VR title
Archangel, we elevated our ambition and tackled The Walking Dead universe in VR. The result was the 2018 genre-defining hit
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners –is looking for a Software Engineer with specialties in AI, graphics, and low-level systems to help develop our next generation of groundbreaking games. Skydance is a part of the Skydance Media family (formerly, The Workshop) has a long track record of work on top tier titles such as The Evil Within, XCOM 2, and Gears of War 4. We provide a dynamic, demanding, and highly collaborative team environment where industry veterans and fresh upcoming talent work side by side to create world-class games across a variety of platforms from VR to next-generation Console.

Responsibilities
- Develop new features and extend existing game systems
- Adapt game systems for use across a wide variety of hardware and software platforms
- Optimize and debug existing systems
- Work closely with Designers, Artists, and other members of the development team
- Write clear, professional documentation of features
- Help drive the product to completion with the highest standards of quality, performance, and polish
Requirements
- Excellent C++ programming and systems design skills, other languages a plus
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in PC or Console game development
- Experience with large-scale game engine architecture. Comfortable working with the grain of an established code framework.
- Shipped at least one Console, PC or VR game
- Strong math skills
- Rapid learner, able to absorb and understand complex systems
- Self-motivated and self-directing, willing to pitch in on many areas of development.
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Passion for games and game technology
- Strong work ethic
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4
- Next-gen console experience (PS5/XBSX)
- Prior work, personal or professional, that shows exceptional insight and skill of execution
