Our 10-week Americas Summer Internship Program offers students an immersive learning experience with hands on work in areas across the organization. Interning with PTC provides students with the opportunity to work on high-visibility and high impact projects. This program begins June 6, 2022 and concludes August 12, 2022.Your ImpactYou will contribute to state-of-the-art research on augmented and mixed reality interfaces, and how these interfaces drive new possibilities to interact with physical objects. You will learn and contribute to technology that enables a connected future where AR increasingly impacts how humans interact with machines and spaces. You will build tools and experiences that help people better understand environment, more intuitively control their connected machines, and collaborate and learn in new and more immersive ways.Your TeamThe Reality Lab is a creative research team with a focus on Human Computer Interaction, Augmented and Mixed Reality, Spatial Computing, Robotics, Telepresence, and Metaverse technologies. We are a small team with a large impact and a high degree of freedom in our research projects. To learn more, see our website and twitter.Your Day-to-Day:As an intern at the Reality Lab, you will directly contribute to one or more of our current research projects by writing code and designing novel user experiences. Your ideas and creativity will shape the direction of your work and influence ours. Depending on your skills and interests, your work may involve a variety of technologies. Some examples include experimenting with the latest smartphone AR features, creating interactive experiences in Unity, contributing JavaScript code to our open source WebXR platform, running machine learning models on visual and spatial data, building out backend services with Node.js, or programming new interfaces for our collection of robots. You will be working in a team setting with flexible work hours, and will be paired with a mentor.Basic Qualifications:A portfolio of creative or technically impressive projects that you can show us speaks more than specific skill requirements Object-oriented programming experience with one or more languages (e.g. JavaScript, C#, C++, Swift) Experience buildingLearn and Grow with UsPTC is focused on developing the workforce of tomorrow, and we offer a world class internship experience to do just that.
