We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Echo VR programming team at Ready At Dawn Studios. The Echo VR team is responsible for maintaining and developing one of the largest multiplayer VR platforms. An ideal candidate has experience with common engineering and game development practices, and is capable of managing and supporting a team of highly-skilled programmers.
Responsibilities
- Work with programmers on the Echo VR team to manage day-to-day tasks and communications. Coordinate with both the game team and other disciplines to schedule important tasks and track them through development
- Provide feedback and guidance to team members, and support them in their career growth
- Work closely with the team’s leadership to set high-level goals and directions for Echo VR
Minimum Qualification
- Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams
- 5+ years experience of game development or multiple shipped games
- General knowledge of engineering practices and workflows
- Familiar with the game development lifecycle, and all involved disciplines
- Experience coordinating with managers and producers across multiple teams
- Experience organizing and leading meetings for planning, scheduling, and/or discussion within the team
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience managing or leading an engineering team at a game studio
- Experience in programming games and/or engine technology
- Experience working with custom in-house game engines
- Working knowledge of 3D math
- Knowledge of game development
- A shipped AAA title
- Experience with Virtual Reality games
