Description

Immersive Technologies offers tremendous opportunity for improving how information is captured, displayed, and shared across the enterprise. Of particular note, Augmented Reality using wearable headsets, mobile devices, native applications, and web-AR technologies offer compelling solutions to many modernization and digital engineering initiatives to seamlessly augment the real world with information to support processes, improve decision making, and optimize operations.

This position will work within the Immersive Technology team and across the organization to discover, define, develop, and deliver next generation Augmented Reality solutions.

This is remote work that may be performed from any location in the United States.

Using design thinking
  • Empathize with our business units and their customer’s pain points via market and user research and discovery
  • Define gaps based on research
  • Ideate the art of the possible with business unit leaders, end users, engineers, and other stakeholders to present compelling concepts applying XR and other technologies
  • Prototype concepts based on a set of identified and prioritized needs, applying appropriate fidelity to support the use case and customer
  • Test the prototype with internal resources and coordinate with business units and stakeholders for external feedback. Establish protocols and metrics to ensure testing is efficient, effective, and drives iterative design
  • Implement the solution and be prepared to demonstrate the solution; maintain backlog with an emphasis on expansion, productization, and deployment at enterprise scale
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or related field, and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in enterprise technology with at least 4+ years specifically working in immersive technology.
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with other internal and external teams to incorporate their challenges and innovations.
  • Expert level understanding of augmented and virtual reality technology, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Four (4) years or more experience as an engineer developing user-facing features on games or other 3D interactive products.
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with other internal and external teams to incorporate their challenges and innovations.
  • Specific understanding of current market leader hardware (HoloLens, Magic Leap, Rift, VIVE, Gear VR, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with project management and applying Agile techniques
  • Demonstrated experience with design thinking, especially discovery, ideation, and prototyping.
  • Excellent internal and external communication; must be expert with customer demonstrations, presentations, and hands-on interaction with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience with Unity 3D and/or Unreal Engine
  • Experience with Real Time networked features (i.e., synchronous multiplayer games)
  • Experience in UX design or game design
  • Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments
DESIRED
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering

  • Knowledge/Experience with User Research and User Experience Design
CLEARANCE
  • US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Target salary range $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
