Position Summary:

The Qualitative Researcher & Moderator will work closely with the senior leadership team to execute online research projects from beginning to end. A key responsibility of this position will be execution and moderation of in-depth interviews, UX sessions, online focus groups, diary studies, discussion boards and insight community research projects.


The ideal candidate should have at least of 5 years’ experience in qualitative research with a minimum of 1-2 years of remote session moderation experience. 


Job Responsibilities

·        Execution and management of all phases of qualitative research studies from design through report delivery

·        Communicating with clients to understand and document the research objectives

·        Selecting the most appropriate research methodology and techniques

·        Developing research activity guides and activities

·        Moderating online in-depth interviews, focus groups, UX sessions, discussion boards, diary projects and insight communities

·        Setting up/managing activities on online qual platforms (insight communities, discussion boards, diary/ethnography studies, UX studies)

·        Interpreting data, writing reports, and making actionable recommendations

·        Presentation of research reports to clients

·        Collaboration with clients across all phases of research studies

·        Coordinating participant recruitment with the qual fieldwork team

·        Involved in project and account management including weekly/monthly client meetings

·        Writing research proposals and preparing cost estimates

·        Onboarding and management of international partners/vendors

·        Mentoring and training of jr. researchers

·        Review and onboarding of new qual tools, platforms, and partners


Requirements:

Training will be provided in the specifics of our technologies, but the successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a field which provides the necessary analytical ability (e.g. marketing research/marketing, sociology, psychology, business management, communication, finance, statistics) strong GPA and educational achievements, solid computer knowledge/experience and strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Candidate must have:

·        Minimum: Bachelor’s degree

·        Minimum: 5+ years research experience with 1-2+ years experience in qualitative moderation

·        Experience running online sessions with kids, teens and young adults a plus

·        Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Excel/Word/PowerPoint mandatory

·        Strong interpersonal skills

·        Demonstrated strong analytic, writing and presentation ability

·        Proven ability to provide flawless deliverables

·        Experience in consumer research

·        Experience in Youth & Family, Media & Entertainment and Technology industries a plus

·        Passionate about research and analysis

·        Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities

·        Excellent organizational skills with a strong focus upon managing details

·        Bachelors or advanced degree

·        Must be a task-oriented self-starter able to work independently, be highly productive and meet project deadlines yet work well as part of a team

·        Ability to manage and multiple projects simultaneously
