Facebook Horizon is a new social experience in VR. In Horizon, people can build and share their own virtual worlds, attend events or hang out with the broader community. Horizon’s creator tools empower anyone to discover, explore and create new destinations in the Metaverse. We’re currently seeking our first Social and Influencer Marketing Manager for Facebook Horizon. You’ll be part of an entirely new marketing function for Facebook Reality Labs’ owned studios (e.g.: Beat Games) and first party experiences (e.g.: Facebook Horizon). You’ll be bringing your enthusiasm for culture and social media, and intricate knowledge of the ins and outs of all social platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch and Reddit.You’ll be responsible for creating efficient end-to-end processes and strategy to support the successful delivery of social media marketing content, influencer programs, and new community focused campaigns to grow and engage users. You’ll partner with the wider marketing team to drive brand and business goals around acquisition, engagement, and retention. Additionally, you’ll distill qualitative and quantitative insights to inform our product roadmap and overall marketing strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and shape Horizon’s social strategy across key social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit.
- Grow the Horizon community across these platforms, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Coordinate day-to-day editorial content calendar executions including copywriting, asset coordination, and publishing to all relevant brand social channels.
- Analyze and report on the performance of owned social channels to measure the effectiveness of our efforts, with an emphasis on continuous optimization and iteration.
- Develop, plan and implement influencer and brand ambassador programs that drive acquisition, retention, engagement, and brand goals for Horizon.
- Identify new and relevant influencer targets, brainstorm new approaches to influencer campaigns, assist with developing and reviewing in-VR branded content.
- Maintain a pulse on marketing and influencer-focused trends and campaigns.
- Partner with the Horizon Product, Art, Product Marketing, and Oculus Marketing teams on campaigns and marketing initiatives.
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years managing community development and social media.
- Expertise in leveraging different social platforms and community channels to drive growth, engagement, and business goals.
- Experience with coordinating assets. Knowledge of creative dimension sizes and the different nuances of how they display on each platform.
- Experience with social community management and experience maintaining the brand’s social voice, tone, and style when interacting with the community.
- Proven track record leveraging community insights to shape marketing strategies and product plans.
- Experience forging relationships across product and marketing teams.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent marketing experience.
- Experience in the virtual reality or gaming industry.
