The FRL team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, speech, virtual assistant, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body among many others.
The On-Device AI Research team in FRL brings together a world class team of researchers working on a range of problems in 3D Reconstruction, Image/Video processing and Real-time Graphics using Deep Learning. Our work is at the core of enabling future AR and VR products. We are seeking exceptional interns with a background in 3D Computer Vision to join our team. We are specifically looking for candidates to work in areas such as 3D Face Reconstruction, Dynamic 3D Surface Reconstruction and Neural View Synthesis.
In this position, you will get exposure to the full stack, from algorithms down to how these algorithms map to the target device. You will work with the research mentors to understand the challenges and build state-of-the-art networks to tackle them and then work with the software/hardware team to deploy these solutions on-device. Our internships are twelve (12) - sixteen (16) weeks long.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop novel Deep Learning based methods in the area of 3D Face Reconstruction.
- Collaborate with other research scientists and software engineers to develop innovative deep learning techniques for vision and/or computational photography use-cases.
- Present the outcomes of the research findings as papers in top tier conferences in the area of CV and Graphics.
Minimum Qualification
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
