1. Design and propose advanced video compression and processing algorithms for the multifunctional video coding (H.266/VVC) standard. The proposed algorithm is implemented on the reference software platform VTM, and the compression performance is verified by simulation.
2. Record advanced video coding and processing algorithms and implementations in various forms, including standard manuscripts, patent applications, conference and journal articles, presentations, technical white papers, etc. Submit standard manuscripts and conference articles (JVET/MPEG conference, IEEE conference, etc.) in various places.
3. Develop and implement advanced VVC coding algorithms (through AI-based fast coding methods, parallel processing methods, etc.) for practical applications and use cases such as video streaming, video conferencing and video sharing.
4. Design and implement novel video processing, coding and quality evaluation algorithms for emerging applications such as virtual reality and augmented reality to promote optimized user experience in end-to-end virtual and augmented reality systems.
Qualification
1. Doctoral or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related engineering disciplines.
2. Have a background in video or image coding and processing research. There are successful records of publications published in first-tier conferences and/or journals.
3. Experience in past video coding standards is preferred, such as VVC, JEM, HEVC, SHVC, SCC, H.264/AVC, SVC, MVC, AVS, VP8 and/or image coding standards such as JPEG, JPEG-XR, JPEG HDR or JPEG2000.
4. Proficient in C++ and C programming. Past experience in using video coding standard reference software, such as VTM, JEM, HM, SHM, JM and JSVM is preferred.
5. Have excellent analytical research and innovation capabilities.
At the same time, we also hope that you possess:
1. Strong learning ability, curiosity about new things, and able to quickly adapt to the new environment
2. Good communication skills and teamwork skills; able to cooperate with others to achieve the goals together
3. Have enthusiasm, believe that there are more methods than difficulties, and be good at independent thinking and reflection.
