Job Description
We are looking for a talented Technical Artist for our upcoming projects through the end of 2021 (with potential for continued work into 2022). The ideal candidate is a passionate and resourceful problem solver with an eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
Senior Technical Artist ( Remote)
Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining projects in real-time engines.
- Building the creative vision into a deliverable product.
- Importing and integrating art assets such as textures, models, and animated characters.
- Clearly communicating technical limitations, proposing solutions, and creating workarounds.
- Designing and executing workflows from concept to asset creation to technical implementation.
- Testing, quality assurance, and verifying the product is performant.
- Working with the supervisor, creative director, and producer to schedule tasks and manage delivery expectations.
Show Us Your Skills
- 5+ years of experience working with technical and creative teams within the visual effects, gaming, AR, VR, and/or immersive industries.
- Software engineering familiarity with javascript, typescript, C#, python, visual programming.
- Professional experience working with real-time engines (e.g. Spark AR Studio, Lens Studio, Unreal Engine, and/or Unity).
- Ideal candidate considers themselves a generalist who is software agnostic and can easily jump in and understand various software/engines inner workings.
- Passion for exploring and learning new technologies and discovering new workflows.
- Strong aesthetic eye for what looks good.
- Ability to be self-directed towards increasing visual quality.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with remote teams, communicating and collaborating across various disciplines.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience developing some or all of the following: AR and VR applications, shipped mobile apps (Android and iOS), interactive installations.
- Experience with GLSL and other graphics shading languages.
- Experience creating CG assets including modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation.
