Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of product management experience with technical products
  • Experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle such as product vision, go-to-market strategy, driving requirements, and product launch
  • Experience managing Product Managers

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience building and shipping hardware products
  • Experience building a holistic strategy and execution plan for first-version products
  • Experience testing hypotheses and pathfinding towards the best user experience in product categories
  • Knowledge and interest in AR technologies
  • Ability to succeed in an ambiguous environment
  • Solid design intuition and analytical skills (e.g. UXR or strategy) to help determine which experiences will resonate with users

The Augmented Reality (AR) Team is working on the future of computing and Google’s central role in this emerging space. We build innovative hardware and software to help make computing more perceptive, immersive, and accessible.

The Google Augmented Reality team is a diverse group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and building helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the development of experiences for future AR products
  • Drive this emerging category towards product market fit
  • Understand markets, competition, and user requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Marketing, Legal, UX, and other teams on cutting edge technologies
