RPR is Hiring a Web AR Developer!

Based in San Francisco and Copenhagen and with 12 years of deep AR experience, Rock Paper Reality (RPR) is an A-team of AR experts that help companies unlock the full potential of Augmented Reality. We develop award-winning AR experiences, applications, and products for companies around the world.

We are looking for a talented WebAR Developer that is excited to push new boundaries in mobile Augmented Reality. The ideal candidate thrives working remotely, delivers on time, and has a deep experience with WebAR SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, deploy, maintain and optimize WebAR components and projects
• Manage individual projects, systems and deliverables
• Participate in tech architecture discussions, lead product design, code reviews and propose solutions to system and product changes
• Essential Requirements, Competencies, Skills & Knowledge
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience

Required Technical Toolkit

• Javascript
• AFrame / three.js / WebGL
• HTML/CSS
• Understanding of AR / VR / 3D

Desired Technical Toolkit

• 8th Wall Web AR SDK
• AWS / Google Cloud / Azure
• React / Angular / Vue
• SQL / Firebase / MongoDB
• Blender / Maya
• CLI / Powershell Scripting
• CI/CD Tools and Processes
• Graphic Design / UX / UI Design
• Knowledge of Linear Algebra / Vector Calculus

Soft Skills

• Unreal and Unity experience
• Familiarization with Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, Sumerian) and Babylon.js
• 2+ years’ experience of professional software development
• Understanding of JavaScript event loop, asynchronous request handling, and DOM
• Experience with computer graphics frameworks and libraries
