Summary

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Unity Programming/Development assist with AR and VR development and deployment experience with Unity and HTC Vive.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Includes the following:
  • Advise DLS project teams on the end-to-end development lifecycle of AR and VR projects.
  • Execute and deliver AR and VR projects from beginning to end.
  • Storyboard (paper or digital) AR and VR projects.
  • Prototype or wire frame AR and VR projects.
  • Communicate with DLS project teams on the needed AR and VR assets to successfully develop and deploy AR and VR resources (illustrations, animations, video, 3d models).
  • Collaborate with DLS project teams to build 2D and 3D assets needed for AR and VR projects.
  • Design and programming or scripting the end-to-end AR and VR experience with Unity including:
    • Designing aesthetic and user-friendly user interfaces.
    • All programmatic development needed for an optimized functional and aesthetic AR and VR experience.
  • Integrate 508 accessible standards (captions, video narrations, labels, etc…) to allow members of the public with disabilities to access information that is comparable to information provided to persons without disabilities.
  • Integrate TinCan xAPI into AR and VR resources to retain valuable feedback data on a user’s proficiency.
  • Implement edits and changes to AR and VR projects from multiple stages of review from project team members, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), or Pilot feedback.
  • Launch or export AR and VR resources:
    • Onto AR mobile platforms.
    • Onto VR platforms, primarily the HTC Vive.
    • Within industry standard platforms such as Steam or as an .EXE.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISOR/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory/management authority.

Educaton And Experience

Bachelor's Degree preferred in Computer Science. Science Game Art and Design or related field preferred and 3 to 5 years' experience developing communication. Previous experience with CDC programs, policies and procedures highly desired but not required.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Working knowledge of professional standards and ethics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will be performed primarily in a climate controlled office environment.
