The Developer Support team is looking for a new manager to focus on improving the tools and processes of the larger Ecosystem team. As the Ecosystem Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for gathering the requirements of our partner teams - representing those requirements to our cross functional partner teams - and, where applicable, integrating our tools with theirs. You will also work to develop new processes, discover and standardize new tools, and drive efficiency improvements to handle the influx of new VR developers into the ecosystem.The ideal candidate has an interest in video games, virtual reality, and improving the experience of our developers, with a strong focus on process oriented thinking, and driving tools improvements. If you can’t let an inefficient process stand, if you can’t see a machine without wanting to take it apart and put it back together again, if you want to make a difference to the experience of VR developers and those that support them, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a central repository for existing processes
- Create a framework for driving efficiencies in the processes of sub-teams, advising on opportunities in tooling and automation
- Own the roll out of new tools across the organization, including training, change management, documentation, etc.
- Work with the Ecosystem teams to scope and influence tool changes and drive priorities among cross-functional stakeholders
- Engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks, and to deliver software features
- Prepare and present crisp and actionable project statuses to stakeholders and executives
- Drive changes in our internal (app submission, app review, and proprietary CMS) and external (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.) tools based on the above
- Improve the overall efficiency of our current processes and practices so we can deal with ever increasing volumes of developers
- Develop and measure metrics for performance and efficiency to validate tool and process changes
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years Games Industry QA, App Testing, or Operations experience
- Experience documenting complex bugs, processes, and proposals for improvements
- Process and efficiency driven
Preferred Qualification
- Zendesk experience
- Salesforce experience
- Proven experience working in Developer Support, Developer Relations, or equivalent
- Scripting experience (Python, Hack, JavaScript, etc.)
