Web & Social Media Director
About the Role: As the social media and content strategist you control the public appearance of a hot startup that's transforming the way we rent, buy, and sell real estate through big data & VR (virtual reality). You will be responsible for our web and social media presence, developing and managing integrated campaigns utilizing PR tactics to help amplify brand communication. You will revitalize our outward appearance to help attract the best talent, improve investor appetite and then launch our products to obtain product market fit. Our goal is to reach new, targeted audiences by creating campaigns with media coverage and social media amplification on new and emerging platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, Clubhouse and more. Additionally you will leverage our media partner’s (The Real Deal’s) network to help expand our user base, brand values and story.About You:

What you’ll do:
- Revamp existing web and social media presence
- Work with the design team to optimize our internal company web pages and branding
- Create strategies for attracting new talent
- Manage social media and content calendar
- Spearhead company culture through event planning
- Identify opportunities to communicate LavaMap brand values and product leadership
- Analyze performance of web and social media accounts content
- Collaborate with partners and influencers
- Manage brand reputation and monitor brand mentioning
- Oversee social media accounts’ profile design and brand presence
- Hiring & attracting talent
Media Management
- Curate, conceive, and create professional quality digital images, videos, and infographics to help promote content, ideas and facts on social channels using appropriate editing software
- Manage regular reporting and provide recommendations for content, strategy optimization, benchmarks and analysis of content
Looking For:
- PR experience
- Minimum 3 years of social media management experience, preferably for e-commerce brands. (Please do not apply if your experience is limited to managing your personal accounts.)
- Proven track record of using social media
- Deep understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms from functionality to paid social campaigns
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Revenue oriented and goal driven
- Organized, detail oriented, and can multitask in a fast paced environment
- Photography, Photoshop & video editing skills are a plus
- SEO experience is a plus

Details:
- Full time position focused on the brand image of our web product and VR app eventually carrying over into other projects
- Currently Work From Home, eventually ideally working out of our office in Hudson Yards, NYC
- Must be a good communicator and available via slack, phone, and email while we are remote
