An Industrial Engineer with Micron’s Mask Technology Center is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of the factory. This involves working with a capacity model to perform fab scenario analysis, using Tableau data visualization tool to communicate key metrics, developing demand forecasts with worldwide customers, and working with Micron tools to optimize throughput and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has excellent collaboration skills combined with a fundamental understanding of industrial engineering theory and applicability to semiconductor processes.
Responsibilities
- Apply industrial engineering concepts to operations management, capacity analysis, scheduling, and production planning of a Mask Shop.
- Use statistical analysis to optimize Fab performance metrics and audit manufacturing capacity information.
- Develop data visualizations to continuously monitor and improve fab performance metrics.
- Design and coordinate projects with several different departments and/or factories.
- Work with R&D, process engineering and change management to plan for future product introduction.
- Evaluate scenarios representing changes in demand or supply, perform ‘what if’ scenarios as needed, and work with Engineering & Manufacturing to understand the impact of the changes.
- Possess a high level of self-motivation and strong work ethic.
- Manage several concurrent projects or tasks.
- Have a willingness to learn new tools and technologies to support Micron’s changing environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with Tableau.
- Capacity modeling in a semiconductor facility.
- Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify issues and provide recommendations and solutions.
- Semiconductor manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a group environment.
Education
BS degree is required. B.S. in Industrial Engineering strongly preferred.
