We are looking for an exceptional Materials Program Manager who can lead the development and production transfer of materials and supply chain for highly complex new product introductions (NPI). This broad, influential position is a key NPI team member who collaborates closely with Engineering, Program Management, Procurement, Materials, Finance and Manufacturing to ensure on-time NPI that meets all cost, quality and operational targets.


  • Optimizes, tracks and reports material and product costs and lead times to management
  • Selects, develops and manages NPI supply base in support of Engineering development
  • Influences production supplier selections in collaboration with Engineering and Commodity Management
  • Prepares products for production release via Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Orders and related
  • Leads materials procurement activities and management from prototype through volume production transfer
  • Ensures volume production success internationally at internally managed factories and with contract manufacturers
  • Pursues DFx opportunities cross-functionally to optimize product cost and lead time prior to release
  • Develops, implements and owns NPI phase gate criteria with Program Management to optimize development outcomes

What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity, operational and supply chain proficiency, and structure to effectively manage complex programs and product transfers is:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of related Supply Chain, Materials or Operations experience
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-driven leader who is self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and hands-on
  • Ability to concisely articulate requirements, issues, escalations and solutions to suppliers, stakeholders and management
  • Proven success working with diverse teams and influencing stakeholders
  • Track record of developing and leading continuous improvement projects
  • ERP/MRP and PLM systems experience and proficiency (SAP ERP/MRP preferred)
  • NPI and formal program management training and leadership experience preferred
  • APICS/ASCM/ISM certification preferred
