As a Senior Business Development Manager for the Compute and Networking Business unit at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be a major contributor to our Enterprise Segment product and customer strategy.

You will be responsible for U.S. inbound and outbound marketing activities and work closely with customers, sales teams and technology enablers to develop and implement plans to successfully grow the business. In this position, you will analyze segment and marketing data, as well as lead in the analysis, development and execution of strategies for Micron to continue to gain market share in this segment.

You can also expect to interact with internal groups to ensure the right products and support for the segment are in place as well as evaluate opportunities for new customers and products.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Guide strategic direction to ensure Micron is trusted advisor and preferred supplier with key Enterprise customers for primarily DDR DRAM products, but also LPDRAM, managed NAND, non-volatile memory components and next generation memory technologies
  • Drive and advocate Enterprise segment and customer needs within Micron’s product definition process as well as help create solutions to fulfill these needs
  • Develop and drive business plan goals and initiatives for the segment
  • Initiate and manage segment-specific programs to improve customer satisfaction and business interaction
  • Work with enablers to ensure that Micron has the right portfolio and is designed into relevant platforms prior to adoption from key end customers
  • Establish strong relationships with key technical customer contacts

You Will Need To Be Able To

  • Communicate and present very effectively with both customers and internal leaders
  • Grasp complex technical, marketing, and financial information, both qualitative and quantitative, to develop plans and strategies
  • Influence widely disparate internal and external stakeholders by understanding their priorities and driving for beneficial solutions
  • Learn about multiple different types of products and the individual needs of our customers
  • Adapt quickly to changing market conditions, technologies and priorities
  • Be a finisher – persist to get desired results
  • Care for others and contribute as part of a team rather than as just an individual

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in two or more of the following areas:

  • System architecture
  • Business development with large electronics customers or ecosystem partners
  • Product marketing or product management in semiconductors
  • Technical sales
  • Enterprise OEM experience is preferred, but not required
  • Channel experience is preferred, but not required

You will need to have the ability to operate on both a technical and business level with demonstrated experience in both.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science, or business/marketing coupled with significant technical experience
  • MBA is a plus
