Archangel, we elevated our ambition and tackled The Walking Dead universe in VR. The result was the 2018 genre-defining hit

Gameplay Animator for our upcoming next-generation VR game projects.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Animation Team and Design Team to create in-game animations that are incredibly satisfying to play and exciting to watch
- Work under the guidelines of the Director of Animation to maintain the games’ visual identity
- You’ll use a combination of keyframe and motion capture techniques to bring human and creature characters to life
- Create 3D in-game animations that seamlessly mix with the animations of other team members
- Work with our technical artists and animators to define and improve our animation pipeline
- Work in a collaborative environment where feedback is welcome
Requirements
- A strong sense of acting, posing, timing, appeal, and body mechanics
- Proven ability to create high quality keyframe animation
- Excellent communication skills, proven ability to work within a team, and are passionate about games
- Highly proficient in Maya and/or similar 3D software
- In-depth knowledge of animation principles
Pluses
- Experience with VR projects
- Animation retargeting experience
- Motion capture experience
- Familiarity with motion capture using Xsens and related tools
- Experience using node-based animation editors such as Animation Blueprints
- Working knowledge of Unreal 4 and/or other modern development tool sets
