Expected compensation: $27.00 - $32.00 per hourHireArt is helping a virtual reality technology company hire a Quality Assurance Tester to provide 1:1 support to developers, ensure 3rd party apps meet technical requirements, and work to identify areas for process improvement. In this role, you’ll work closely with 3rd party developers and internal engineering teams focused on Augmented and Virtual Reality products.
We’re seeking candidates with a strong background in quality assurance for mobile apps or games. The ideal candidate is also an exceptional communicator, highly attentive to detail, and passionate about advocating for the developer community. Interest or experience in the AR/VR industry is a big plus!
Responsibilities
- Supervise testing process for 3rd party app submissions to ensure they meet technical requirements.
- Maintain test plan in CMS tool, and collaborate with developer and engineering teams on test procedures and escalated issues.
- Gather information from domain experts for new products and features, coordinate training for the testing team.
- Report on trends and advocate for platform level solutions to common rejection reasons.
- Propose and drive improvements to the testing and feedback process.
- Communicate with developers about their submission results and provide 1:1 ticketed support.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 2+ years video game QA or app testing experience
- Knowledge of Unity software
- Developer advocate mindset, bonus if you have proven experience helping app developers overcome challenges
- Ability to clearly document complex bugs and the steps to reproduce them
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment
