Facebook is rapidly expanding our core product focus into a growing number of Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) product areas. We are looking for a strong security professional who can join our security partner team and be a technical security leader, gaining a deep understanding of one or more areas of FRL’s rapidly expanding portfolio of business units, and ensuring that security is designed into their products and operations. These business and product areas include our Virtual Reality line of Oculus products, Portal line of Smart Devices, RayBan Stories and Wearables product lines, and more. FRL product areas also include our microkernel based operating system, Spark augmented reality platforms, Voice Assistant, Gaming Studios, Metaverse product group, and more. You will work with the best security teams in the world, making sure that the data and products we are trusted to protect are secured to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will share our passion for solving complicated business and security problems, while minimizing friction and maximizing productivity and impact. This is a technical position, requiring both deep and broad technical knowledge across a range of security disciplines. The ideal candidate will need to be adept at communicating at the highest levels of the organization, presenting arguments based on data, and representing Facebook's security team to customers and partners at the CISO level.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the trusted security advisor and leader to one or more FRL areas providing consultation, representation, and driving strategic security efforts
  • Build and mature security programs and capabilities for those FRL areas
  • Develop roadmaps, requirements, and initiatives for products’ security and privacy
  • Represent Security in product meetings with TPMs, Product Managers, Engineering, and other functions
  • Build deep relationships with product and engineering leaders
  • Drive security risk decisions, initiatives, and influence technical architecture
  • Develop and maintain deep industry expertise in the assigned areas
  • Identify vulnerabilities in design and implementation, across consumer device technology stacks
Minimum Qualification
  • 7+ years experience in information security
  • Experience managing and mitigating broad security risks and communicating them to senior leadership
  • Technical experience across one or more security disciplines, such as: operating system/microkernels, native/system, infrastructure, web, or mobile, etc.
  • Security assessment experience in one or more of the above security disciplines
  • Experience building cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience representing security to internal and external disciplines such as legal, policy, and marketing
  • External security vendor, client, or business facing experience
  • Experience with static and/or dynamic analysis security tools in one or more of the above security disciplines
  • Experience with international standards or research in AR, VR, or consumer devices security and privacy
