Praxis Labs is a learning and development company with the mission of making society more equitable. Based in Brooklyn, NY, we leverage immersive learning experiences in Virtual Reality, combined with actionable data insights on our learning and reflection platform to improve justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) for our clients and their employees (our learners!).Praxis Labs was founded by women of color. As a fast growing mission-driven startup, we are looking to grow our engineering team and hire a Senior Unity Developer to help us take our learning experiences to the next level!
We are returning to office for a couple days a week in New York City in the Spring of 2022 (pending COVID-19 health guidelines). In the interim, we are offering flexible work space.
Salary range: $120,000-$160,000
Impact Opportunities
- In 1 month, you will have collaborated with Product, Experiential Design, and Development team members to have launched a new immersive experience
- In 3 months, you will have written technical briefs and documentation to contribute to understanding across teams, worked cross-functionally with Engineering teams to ensure integration of the immersive experiences, and identified and proposed improved development processes
- In 6 months, you will have launched and tracked the impact of new immersive experiences and researched and prototyped new immersive techniques and features to continue pushing the boundary on VR/XR to make our experiences even more impactful, engaging, and effective
- Work cross functionally with web development team to ensure VR integration with the full Praxis Labs product
- Communicate across the team to resolve issues and improve game quality.
- Define & build custom tools for crafting and editing game data.
- Ensure products conforms to high industry performance and quality standards.
- Improve build pipeline for efficient builds, testing and releases.
- Help maintain code quality, documentation, and automation.
- 4+ years experience developing with Unity and/or programming in C#
- Experience with developing mobile iOS and Android games and webGL experiences
- Experience with developer VR experiences, especially for Quest
- In-depth knowledge of Unity tools, services and scripting.
- Experience with resolving build errors on both iOS and Android.
- Experience with the game development pipeline from start to finish.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working on short-timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to plan and execute responsibilities with minimal direction.
