Within QCT's Visual Technology Group in San Diego you will be responsible for developing systems and software solutions for Snapdragon Augmented and Virtual Reality systems.

You’ll apply your software development and systems engineering skills and your experience with embedded camera modules, imaging, and/or optics to define, analyze, prototype, and commercialize next generation XR cameras.

You’ll be collaborating with multidisciplinary XR teams to determine camera requirements for diverse and specialized XR use cases. You’ll work closely with hardware and mechanical engineering teams to prototype novel camera configurations on head mount displays, develop drivers and integrate advanced camera features on Android and Linux systems, evaluate industries leading camera sensors and optics, and establish qualification criteria for future commercial XR cameras.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience
  • 2+ years experience developing software solutions with embedded camera modules.
  • Highly proficient with C/C++ on Linux and Android systems
  • Camera sensor bring-up on embedded platform
  • Experience designing, specifying, and evaluating camera modules or optical systems
  • Development experience involving camera HW ISP, 3A, CMOS sensors, camera tuning, image analysis, latency optimization, or power optimization
  • Excellent communication skills within cross-functional teams designing complex products
  • Design and development of commercial products for AR or VR head mounted systems
  • System understanding of XR camera use cases and technologies
  • System performance analysis and KPI generation informing commercial product design.
