The Mixed Reality Government team is seeking a strategic product management expert to help devise solutions to unmet needs in the global defense market, leveraging core technologies in Mixed Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and hyper-scale/hybrid compute.

In this role you will work closely with our user research, hardware, and software engineering teams along with the end-user to bring new capabilities to our Mixed Reality portfolio.  You will be challenged to convert critical thought into investible product plans that can be consumed by executive leadership internally, engineering execution teams, and customer decision makers.

The candidate shall have a proven background in the development of sound product plans that address clear market needs, which can be built cost effectively enough to generate compelling value propositions to the customer and drive profit to our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Identify unmet end-user needs that can be solved with core Microsoft technologies.
  • Develop high-growth potential product program plans that drive profit and customer value.
  • Support customer and partner teams developing applications and experiences on Mixed Reality platforms.
  • Keenly assess risk, anticipate issues, overcome obstacles, and find creative ways to maximize profit while exceeding customer expectations.  
  • Build trusted relationships across multiple organizations - at all levels - and facilitate the same for others within Microsoft Mixed Reality Gov team. 
  • You will obsessively support the customer and their mission.  
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ Years in product management
Additional skills that will be beneficial to the role but are not required:
  • Experience working with the Federal Government (Department of Defense).
  • Excellent writing, formal presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a keen ability to communicate ideas effectively with executives and engineering teams.
  • A practical and academic understanding of military operations, public policy, and the application of technology to meet DOD and whole of government modernization goals and priorities.
  • Understanding of federal acquisition, planning, programming, budgeting, and execution processes.
  • Overwhelming ability to synthesize complex information to develop sound operational recommendations.
  • Unwavering attention to detail
  • End-user obsession and commitment to deliver results that exceed objectives and expectations.
Security Clearance Requirements: The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
