In this role, you will work across our strategic portfolio of programs in a matrixed, cross functional engineering organization managing multiple projects in support of the Mixed Reality Gov portfolio. You will develop acquisition strategies and execution plans to propose and win large governmental contracts seeking mixed reality technical solutions. You will work closely with our user research, hardware, and software engineering teams along with the end-user to bring new capabilities to the MR ecosystem. You will enact your vast acquisition and contracting experience to prepare multiple proposals, ready them for negotiations and act as a repository of information on Federal Acquisition Regulation, Other Transaction Agreements, statues, regulations, and policies.
Responsibilities
- Identify growth opportunities and establish relationships that promote successful engagement.
- Contribute with the positioning of Mixed Reality solutions to capitalize on known and unknown market potential.
- Support customer teams developing applications and experiences across the Mixed Reality product portfolio.
- Align governmental funding sources (6.1-6.5) to strategic MR initiatives, matriculating and converting customer potential into scale product businesses.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous business improvements through the establishment of robust and efficient business operating practices and tools across Microsoft’s customer success programs.
- Keenly assess risk, anticipate issues, overcome obstacles, and find creative ways to maximize profit while exceeding customer expectations.
- Build trusted relationships across multiple customer organizations - at all levels - and facilitate the same for others within Microsoft Mixed Reality Gov team.
- Support international business relationships to accelerate the realization of strategic Mixed Reality business goals.
- You will obsessively support the customer and their mission.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS Undergraduate Degree.
- Minimum 5 years of direct Federal procurement experience serving as a federal government and/or contractor employee in the GS-1102 series or equivalent capacity as a contract specialist/administrator or procurement analyst.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in all phases of acquisition and program management.
- 2+ years of direct experience working in environments that routinely prepare contracts, solicitations, and proposals using federal and DoD contracting principles (Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD Directives and Instructions, Other Transaction Agreements, laws, regulations, and procedures.
- 2+ years of knowledge in price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals against previous history, actual and estimates expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position.
Additional skills that will be beneficial to the role but are not required:
- 2+ Years of employment in consulting or project management.
- Master’s Degree Preferred (MBA, MPP, or similar).
- Experience working with the Federal Government (Department of Defense).
- Experience negotiating with both US and Foreign governmental partners and vendors ensuring compliance with US statute, ITAR and export law.
- Excellent writing, formal presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a keen ability to communicate ideas effectively with executives and engineering teams.
- A practical and academic understanding of military operations, public policy, and the application of technology to meet DOD and whole of government modernization goals and priorities.
- Overwhelming ability to synthesize complex information to develop sound operational recommendations.
- Unwavering attention to detail.
- End-user obsession and commitment to deliver results that exceed objectives and expectations.
Security Clearance Requirements: The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
