As Product Configuration Analyst at Facebook Reality Labs, you will take on a critical role in bringing augmented and virtual reality to our customers. You will work side-by-side with engineering and business teams that are leading innovation in this exciting new product category.As an individual contributor, the Product Configuration Analyst will support product programs by managing component and BOM creation, as well as coordinating all other information required to document the product structure from early concept through obsolescence. You will work side-by-side with engineering and business teams that are leading innovation in this exciting new product category.As an individual contributor, the Product Configuration Analyst will support product programs by managing component and BOM creation, as well as coordinating all other information required to document the product structure from early concept through obsolescence. The candidate for this role must be able to contribute to defining best PLM practices as well as system evaluation from an Administrator view and be able to define system configuration best practices. You must be flexible, responsive, hands-on and able to manage competing demands. This role will also be responsible to work in Facebook project teams as an FRL representative to support FRL needs.
Responsibilities
- Support product projects from pre-concept through obsolescence.
- Create and release part numbers in the PLM system, including collection of data, entry and review of associated data and documentation.
- Create and release Bills of Material based on input from Engineering, Project Management and Manufacturing.
- Initiate and manage ECOs, MCOs, Deviations and Stop Ships.
- Verify items have landed in downstream systems.
- Work with 3PLs and Service Centers for construction of Refub and Service BOMs.
- Create BOMs and collect data required for Accessory configurations.
- Assist in the communication of Engineering BOM requirements between Supply Chain and Production to facilitate material planning, order fulfillment and execution.
- As a Subject Matter Expert, mentor team members on best practices.
- Advise on best practices for documenting changes on new and existing products.
- Advise on best practices for engineering CAD data transformation to PLM systems.
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of product lifecycle management and other related practices.
- Work with other Facebook PLM teams and support FRL PLM requirements in global enhancement and integration projects.
- End user support and problem resolution.
Minimum Qualification
- BS in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a high tech, fast paced environment using Agile PLM.
- 3+ years Agile administration experience.
- 3+ years Oracle EBS experience.
- Proven communicator and teammate with experience working effectively with teams with dynamic strengths and experience across multiple locations.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience with Agile Product Quality or Product Governance and Compliance module.
- Teamcenter PLM experience.
- Cadence experience.
- Oracle Cloud (PD, PDH/PIM, Fusion).
- Experience collaborating and/or leading in a team environment.
