We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineering Intern to join our Integrated Solutions Business (ISB), where we develop customized solutions to solve our customers' complex problems. If you are a highly motivated, flexible collaborator interested in working on challenging projects and using state-of-the-art engineering hardware and software tools, we think you will excel in this role. You will have basic engineering responsibilities such as electronics development for limited scope projects and computer programming to make GUIs for automating test data collection and/or to interface with scientific instruments.


What you will do is:


  • Perform product development activities of limited scope for electronic and opto-electro-mechanical modules, systems, and instruments
  • Develop and execute product verification and validation tests for electronics and opto-electro-mechanical assemblies and/or final systems
  • Have opportunities to work cross-functionally with Systems Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Optical Engineers, and with Quality, Reliability and Manufacturing


What you will bring to the role and to our team are the following qualifications and engineering skills:


  • An MS or PhD student studying Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with expected completion in December 2022 or May 2023
  • Experience with common laboratory equipment including soldering irons, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies is required.
  • Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: C/C++, Python, VB or LabVIEW is strongly desired.
  • Experience in debugging is desired.
  • Experience in test development is desired.
