New World Rides is seeking Technical Operation Managers to be responsible for the maintenance and facilitation of our Virtual Reality(VR) ride experience known as Roto Loco in addition to multiplayer free-roam VR experiences. We are looking for flexible, positive, and responsible individuals who have a good record of customer service and passion for technology. Must be at least 18 years old. Wages starting at $12.50 with long term benefits. Weekly hours starting at 10-20 hours a week.

 

Responsibilities: 


  • Troubleshoot computer program crashes, system glitches, VR-related issues, and a variety of other computer errors. 
  • Perform daily inspections on the machinery 
  • Interact and answer questions about the experience to a variety of customers. 
  • Assisting customers with entering and exiting the experience safely.
  • Collect and manage customer payments. 
  • Sanitizing the headsets and ride equipment.
  • Performing start of the day procedures, such as powering up motion sensors and preparing headsets. 
  • Performing end of the day procedures, such as powering down all equipment and prepping for the following day.
  • Be able to deal with a variety of customer services situations, such as remedying negative customer experiences. 

 

 

You are a good fit if you possess the following:


  • Outgoing - Friendly and engaging with customers. Good at making people feel comfortable and safe. 


  • Intermediate Computer Skills - Must be able to handle a variety of computer troubleshooting. Some examples include knowing how to handle program crashes and system glitches.  


  • Comfortable with Handling and Troubleshooting Virtual Reality - Another major asset in this experience is the VR headsets. Alongside the required cleaning and handling that comes with this role, Technical Operators must be able to resolve any hardware, software, and firmware issues that may occur during their shift.  


  • Responsible - In charge of handling large, heavy, and dangerous machines. Technical operators must ensure that grave risks that can occur to both riders and themselves are prevented at all times. 


  • Good Physical Condition - Required to assist customers up a 5ft set of stairs, strap said customers securely into the ride, and custom-fit the VR hardware. Due to the relatively small platform of the ride, these tasks will require moderate flexibility.
