Principal Consultant (Healthcare) – Applied Innovation

Location: U.S. Remote

As a Principal Consultant of Applied Innovation at Infor, you will partner with internal and external leaders in business, marketing, sales, finance, and product development to identify, create and deliver new solutions and experiences that drive Infor’s growth. In this role, you will be supporting the Applied Innovation team by creating and prioritizing business cases that feed our innovation funnel and allow customers to achieve their digital transformation initiatives.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes
  • Interface between customers, business leaders, technical developers, and customer experience teams to identify, validate, and build our funnel for our next-generation solutions, including Infor’s product suites, extensions, and 3 rd party integrations
  • Work cross-functionally to develop business cases that articulate sizable customer demand, financial impact, and technical feasibility on multiple, high-priority and high visibility opportunities
  • Drive strategic decision-making processes with stakeholders by translating strategies into opportunities and solution architecture requirements for Industry 4.0, healthcare, supply chain or cross-industry innovations
  • Package and prioritize opportunities by setting a scope and program plan for downstream development
  • Engage with customers to extract opportunities, then due diligence these with technical teams to perform capability gap analysis and 3 rd party assessments that inform viability and scalability
  • Maintains up to date product and technical knowledge of the Infor portfolio and competitive landscape to make buy bs build recommendations
  • Own innovation roadmap and progression of programs for assigned business unit, including helping stakeholders make quick kill, pivot, or accelerate decisions
  • Work closely with the go-to-market team to integrate solutions into the sales process
  • Stay on top of digital trends and technologies to inform new narratives and strategy recommendations back into the business
  • Develop and evolve innovation capability best practices while advancing Infor’s innovation and business culture
What You Will Need
  • Ability to collaborate with influencers and stakeholders across the organization, including sales, finance, industry, and technical product teams
  • A sense of urgency and strong organizational skills to define, act and implement initiatives
  • Experience with translating business strategies into technical solutions
  • Ability to converse in both business and technical “languages” to ensure effective communication across the organization
  • Business acumen and ability to balance speed with strategic focus
  • Passion and a curious mind about market trends, digital transformation, and emerging technologies and how these impact enterprise business software (ERP, WFM, PLM, WMS, etc.)
  • A proven track record of interfacing with customers, external partners, and internal stakeholders to identify and deliver new, impactful software products and solutions
  • Program management skills to lead and coordinate team members across our initiatives
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
What Will Put You Ahead?
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, supply chain, discrete and process manufacturing, healthcare and/or international markets
  • ERP and/or business software (supply chain, manufacturing, workforce management, etc.)
  • Experience with data unification, data architecture and storage, IoT communication protocols, cloud networking, augmented reality, virtual reality (AR/VR), data management, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), and visualization
  • Worked at a tech startup or in a prior corporate innovation role
  • Project Management skills
  • Technical aptitude and/or prior experience with market insight research
  • 5+ years of pre-sales, solution consulting, sales engineering, or solution architecture
  • Experience/certification with AWS IoT solution components
  • Graduate degree
