Job Description

Position: Unity 3D Artist 

In this position, as the Unity 3D Artist you will create UI/UX to host cutting edge features within the DX Platform. You will work directly with the VR Platform Architect and Product Lead Designer in supporting the creation of interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, and distributed learning simulations – primarily working within the Unity3D game engine.

Scope of Work:

• Develop games and apps with Unity Editor, especially but not limited to VR platforms.
• Create scenes, prefabs, assigning scripts and other elements to Unity objects and organizing the Unity folders, and own the project(s).
• Optimize and scale art assets for mobile games and VR applications
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions within the constraints of the project
• Ability to gather, analyze, and act on feedback from the team, openness to critique 
• Desire and ability to work in a self-directed, fast paced work environment 
• Collaborate in a team environment across multiple art, design, and engineering disciplines
• Expert in using Unity Canvas and UI systems for 3D UI Design.
• Expert knowledge in Unity and Maya

Qualification

• Ability to gain secret government clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in 3D or related field 
• 5+ years of practical experience creating and/or implement UI/UX in Unity3D
• 5+ years of experience of creating 3D models with textures for props, scene elements and environments
• Deadline conscious, able to manage and organize work to meet deadlines
• Adaptable to changes and willingness to execute those changes
• Possess strong communication, collaboration and documentation skills
• Knowledge of Unreal a plus
• Must be a doer, not a talker
• Must be able to work collaboratively with a multi-faceted, cross-domain team
• Portfolio page or reel video is required.
