Job Description:


We are looking for a strong and experienced technical project manager who will work with teams of developers, researchers, and artists to successfully plan, monitor, and execute the development of complex products, technologies, and services.


You will work on projects ranging from AI-driven digital humans, interactive 3D applications. AR/VR system, to virtual production and visual effects. You will work with our internal teams, as well as coordinate tasks with our business development lead and external clients. The role is ideal for individuals who have an engineering/CS background, and experience in game and VFX production environments. The candidate must also be able to work effectively in a fast pace environment with competing resources and priorities. The candidate must have an attention to detail, be highly responsive, and have outstanding problem solving, communication, and writing/presentation skills, and be highly organized, flexible, customer-focused, and knowledgeable about user needs, scoping, planning, execution and delivery.


Responsibilities:


  • Create, and maintain project schedules and milestone documentation, monitoring the progress of milestones and specific tasks against those schedules
  • Collect user requirements and guide engineering teams to plan and ship large-scale systems
  • Hold regular meetings with the project teams and business partners to discuss status, resolve issues and share information
  • Make presentation slides and present (kick-off meetings, project updates, company meetings)
  • Drive consensus on technical decisions to satisfy requirements
  • Unblock teams and allow them to stay true to top priorities
  • Use data-driven approach to inform teams' direction
  • Manage dependencies across teams and components
  • Ensure a common understanding and agreement on project scope and goals and on any subsequent changes
  • Identify other teams within Pinscreen with necessary technical knowledge and responsibilities to cultivate relationships in order to drive a project forward
  • Work closely with engineering, art, research, and business development team



Requirements:


  • 3+ years experience managing technical projects
  • Experience leading engineering or operational teams and projects
  • Understands hardware/software product life cycle -from creation, launch, to maintaining and operating a live service
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following production tools: Slack, Notion, Trello, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Experienced with delivering end to end technical programs through road mapping and reliable execution
  • Strong ability to work with various producers, developers, artists
  • Experience working with distributed teams and facilitating effective virtual and in-person meetings
  • Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • Multitasking and Ability for fast problem solving in dynamic production environment
  • Passion about the quality of your work, interest to work on moonshot projects, with top notch AI researchers, and engineers.
  • Extremely strong communication/collaboration skills, very organized, must have an attention to details
  • Skills: Microsoft Office, Apple Keynote, Google Docs/Sheet



Pluses:


  • Experience with game, VFX, AR/VR production pipelines
  • Knowledge in Computer Graphics, Virtual Production, and AI/Machine Learning
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • History with leading remote and distributed teams
  • Experience working in a matrixed technical organization.
  • Experience building and deploying infrastructure solutions on a global scale
  • Excellent knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies
