At Forward Technology Group, we create leading edge interactive experiences and video games with our brands ForwardXP and Forward Game Studios. 


ForwardXP is a leader in the development of Metaverse experiences (VR/AR/XR) and Virtual Reality focused video games. We work closely with our largest client, Facebook, to reimagine enterprise training and other experiences in the emerging Metaverse. Our hit VR game, Please, Don’t Touch Anything continues to be a top seller on the Oculus Quest. 


Forward Game Studios focuses on AAA multiplatform video game development with an emphasis on multiplayer games. Our senior team previously served in leadership positions to ship titles in some of the top selling game franchises of all time including Call of Duty, DOOM, QUAKE, RAGE, Wolfenstein, Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, The Sims, James Bond, and Medal of Honor. We are currently working on an unannounced multiplayer focused title. 


COVID-19 Update: Forward is based in Dallas, TX, and we have transitioned to a hybrid work-from-home model during this time. This role is an in-office position with hybrid work-from-home flexibility. We offer relocation assistance for those coming from outside the Dallas area.


THE ROLE

Forward is seeking an experienced and passionate HR professional to join our senior team as Director, People & Culture to support continued positive and healthy growth of our team. You’ll be a key player in developing and driving company recruitment, as well as people & culture development initiatives at Forward, helping us ensure that our positive culture, and core values of Quality, Innovation and Fairness are preserved as we grow.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting

  • Manage all recruiting initiatives.
  • Develop and manage relationships with outside recruiting partners.
  • Work with internal leadership team to identify and prioritize hiring needs.
  • Continuously develop recruiting process and best practices.
  • Internal team interview training.
  • New team member onboarding. 
  • Act as our main liaison to University and Academic recruiting programs.

People & Culture Development

  • Manage employee development and leadership initiatives.
  • Manage Performance evaluation process.
  • Partner with our Benefits providers to ensure that we continue to deliver exceptional benefits and other perks. 
  • Expand company events and team building initiatives.
  • Recommend individual and team training opportunities.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and healthy employee relationships.
  • Maximize team happiness and long-term retention.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of corporate recruiting and HR Generalist Experience in the Software Development field.
  • Prior experience developing and running internal talent development programs.
  • Experience working with external recruitment partners, and university recruiting programs to source talent.
  • Benefits selection and administration experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build relationships and foster trust with a diverse team.
