Overview

The primary responsibility of a Cloud DevOps Engineer in our company is to collaborate and coordinate with US and international based teams in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to cloud platforms. US based cloud platforms are based on AWS.

Who are you?

You are an experienced tech savvy professional that worked across a diverse range of technologies and clouds over the past 5-10 years spanning multiple different deployed application technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Collaborate and coordinate with US and International based teams in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software

·      Enhance the company's IT infrastructure security protocols within the cloud environment

·      Identify manual processes that can be automated with the use of scripting

·      Build, test and deploy development, staging and production environments within the AWS cloud infrastructure

·      Maintain and improve the company's cloud infrastructure across multiple regions

·      Develop and maintain documentation of the DevOps process

·      Perform maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting of applications

·      Provide technical support and training to project team and customer

·      Automate deployments of applications using Gitlab CI/CD and other automation technologies

SKILLS

·      Certified AWS DevOps engineer with full range of infrastructure and software stack deployment, monitoring and maintenance experience.

·      Extensive AWS ECS, RDS, IAM, EKS, Landing Zone experience required.

·      Experience working with a software development team to include application deployment, troubleshooting, CI/CD leveraging GitHub/GitLab.

·      Experience working with various Infrastructure-as-Code technology stacks, both native AWS and open-source.

·      Experience working with high I/O applications and VR/AR technology a plus.

·      Experience managing/administering a Kubernetes environment

·      Experience with various scripting languages as advantage: Python, Perl, etc. a plus.

·      Experience with source code repository tools and services (GIT, SVN, Gitlab, Github, Bitbucket, etc)

·      Experience with orchestration / automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef, Terraform etc.)

·      Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Amazon SQS, etc.)

·      Experience with Agile development practices

·      Experience with AWS GovCloud a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·      Bachelors degree required; Masters (or equivalent) preferred

·      8 years or more of professional technical experience in infrastructure, tech support

·      5 years of DevOps in an AWS environment highly desirable

·      Advanced understanding of IT infrastructure and enterprise architectures, strong understanding technology infrastructure (AWS preferred)

·      Excellent presentation, written, and oral skills
