Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, HMC, the Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”) is a key member of the HMC Senior Leadership Team. The CTO delivers real-time data insights to improve and innovate products, internally and externally for Hunt's residents and customers. The position requires thought-leadership and state-of-the-art direction in the use of scalable technologies, including Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and IoT, to maximize the effectiveness of the organization. The CTO plays a key leadership role in strategic, technical, and management initiatives, from capitalizing on proprietary data to enhance the customer experience, to leveraging predictive insights with ancillary datasets. The CTO leads the product roadmap and digital transformation of the enterprise. The CTO is passionate about data innovation, with a high-growth, high-scale mindset. The CTO will establish short- and long-range strategic objectives, define KPIs and drive operational excellence. She/he will lead and inspire commitment to sustainability initiatives, a critical component of the enterprise ESG strategy.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provides visionary leadership, organizational strategy, and ownership of the technology roadmap, including the ability to define, operationalize, and continuously innovate.
  • Engages technology to drive operational efficiency, product innovation, and customer experience.
  • Manages and facilitates consultation with stakeholders to define requirements and then develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis for HMHSS IT spend initiatives; reviews formulation of project definitions, showing objectives, IT system requirements and analytical and programming personnel requirements.
  • Employs an established track record of successfully engaging market-disrupting technologies.
  • Owns the systems architecture, tech-stack strategy, and vendor relationships (hardware, software, and outsourcing).
  • Applies expertise in software development, data innovation, and product management experience.
  • Applies experience with cloud computing, cloud technologies, data integration, and APIs.
  • Serves as a role model of HMC's values: respect, innovation, collaboration, excellence, and trust.
  • Demonstrates comfort in engaging and presenting at all levels of the organization.
  • Distills and communicates complex, technical information.
  • Serves as a digital strategy change agent for the organization.
