Job Description
General Motors (GM) is seeking an Immersive Technology Virtual Reality Production Specialist with strong technical skills and interest in working on a wide range of projects. You will have a broad impact across the various projects and GM: acting at the forefront to bring graphics and computer vision research into reality, building and iterating on experiential prototypes, developing new effects and visualizations in concert with our Engineering teams, and applying cross-company standards for 3D assets. You will apply your skills in an environment to take ownership over the digital asset creation and frontend development of mixed reality applications. You will be supporting our global product development teams in the quest to implement virtual reality reviews as a day to day standard task, allowing us to move faster and make quicker decisions as a company.
You'll be a great fit for this role if you know how to structure and solve ambiguous problems without looking for someone to tell you how to get things done while being deeply customer focused, internalizing the point of view of our customers to represent their wants, needs and pain points. You have the skill to work at a strategic level with business leaders and the ability to roll up your sleeves and work tactically with individuals across the organization to get results. You must share the passion around our vehicles and the virtual reality process to create a shared vision that people can adopt as their own. You take accountability and do not expect someone else to make the tough decisions for you. You take ownership when things don't go as planned, but never fail to share your successes. You expect setbacks and know how to react, align partners, and get the job done. The flawless team member will have a steadfast desire to win and do it with integrity.
