Our client believes that Augmented Reality will create a seamless combined virtual and real world, enabling people to be present, connected, and richly engaged with people, places and objects they care about. One of their AR/VR teams is building towards that future by enabling a global community of creators and developers to imagine, create and share augmented reality experiences that reach the billions of people using the company's family of apps and devices.
This specific platform focuses on the underlying technology and capabilities that power the company's cameras, enabling powerful AR experiences that allow their users a deeper connection to the people, places and objects they care about. As a research team, they see their role as advocating for users, and arming their product teams with the insights and inspiration they need to build with confidence. They are looking for a talented researcher to join the team to conduct research with AR consumers and creators.
They seek a mixed methods generalist, with broad skills in design research methods, and a good understanding of basic quantitative and qualitative methods (e.g. surveys, in-depth-interviews, usability testing). You'll be working closely with product teams to build better features for AR creators. In this role, you will help to evaluate sets of features on a regular basis by implementing standard processes for understanding usability and the readiness for market of various features. In addition, you will also run a regular program of research to investigate the usability of new proposed designs and features, working closely with product designers and cross-functional stakeholders to support tactical product-centric work.
