The primary responsibility of the Senior Business/Technical Analyst will be to perform IT Analyst role partnering with multiple manufacturing division business clients in the development of business cases, proof of concepts, and delivery of existing capabilities for the XR Ecosystem.
The selected candidate will be the lead business analyst and technical owner for key XR capabilities deployed across all manufacturing, R&D, and AH sites.
This position will develop a strong understanding of the client strategy, identify information and technology needs, and facilitate the delivery of core XR solutions targeted to meet the defined business strategic intent. The candidate will define processes, and determine project deliverables, schedule, and resource needs for projects and will manage key products to ensure target value objectives are met.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of our business needs and ensure roadmaps align to support near term and long term capabilities.
- Facilitate discussions/workshops with business partners to understand current and future state business processes/requirements.
- Communicate business requirements to and work closely with development teams to ensure accurate understanding and implementation.
- Lead the development of project outputs such as solution vision and design, functional/user requirements, solution mockup, prototypes, and technical architecture, test cases, and deployment plans.
- Act as a liaison between various IT teams and business partners to drive results and communicate opportunities/issues.
- Develop and own Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) document artifacts. Mentor/train contractor team members on SDLC policies and practice.
- Manages the support maintenance and contractual relations for key IT systems, including contract and service level negotiation with multiple service providers for Contractor and Vendor Management of Non-Merck Resources, Consultants and Outsourced Service Providers.
- Leads and drives local (human) change management processes as needed to realize the value of IT innovations / improvements. Drive benefits realization.
- Works collaboratively to drive a safe, compliant and inclusive culture.
Education Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree
Qualifications
- 3 + years of work experience with delivering IT solutions in a Business Analyst role.
- 1 + years of work experience with Manufacturing IT Platform areas.
- Fluent in SDLC best practices including application to GXP processes.
- Strong facilitation, meeting/workshop management, change management skills and the ability to collaborate with and influence a wide variety of
- stakeholders, from technical to senior executives.
- Self-motivated team player to both coordinate demand across platforms, tools, and capabilities and to promote IT services aligned to our IT strategy.
Preferred Skills
Experience in GxP systems.
Experience with AR/VR from a usability perspective.
Experience with Design Thinking methodology.
Ability to identify and influence the changes necessary to ensure solution adoption and value realization.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in ambiguity as a member of a global team.
Proven record of working on multiple projects and managing diverging priorities across diverse business teams simultaneously.
Degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
