Job Summary

As a Process Technician at Micron, you will have sustaining ownership of advanced semiconductor processes in a high-tech fabrication environment known as the Fab. In this role you will address issues that detract from Fab operations, including containment, documentation, and communication of non-standard events. Shiftly duties include executing control plans, evaluating equipment health, resolving defect-related issues, and supporting other areas of the operation to ensure quality, efficiency, and output goals are met. You will work cross-functionally with team members specializing in operations, equipment, and other areas and collaborate with support groups to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the performance of area equipment and processes
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) concepts and plans
  • Understand, follow, and improve documented procedures, processes, and best-known methods
  • Learn and apply the necessary technical expertise for your area, including equipment and process interactions, upstream-downstream effects, and potential impact to device performance
  • Analyze real-time processing and inline defect and metrology data to source process and equipment issues and drive resolution
  • Apply systematic troubleshooting methodologies to determine root cause
  • Review and disposition product, targets, and tool or process qualification data
  • Investigate and resolve area holds
  • Provide input to continuous improvement projects
  • Identify, contain, document, escalate, and resolve deviations from accepted practices in systems, tools, and processes
  • Recognize and react to repetitive deviations and notify engineering where escalation is needed
  • Properly and systematically document and communicate all executed work
  • Understand and drive all metrics tied to workstation performance and work-in-progress (WIP) flow
  • Properly prioritize tasks to meet the needs of customers
  • Learn and utilize specialized software
  • Demonstrate basic presentation skills and meeting etiquette
  • Successfully execute both team and individual assignments
  • Adhere to all established safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • The ability and willingness to be flexible to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in data extraction, analysis, and reporting
  • Basic PC skills including MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes
  • Basic understanding and accurate application of statistical process control principles
  • Basic understanding of mathematical concepts and problem solving, at least to an algebraic level
  • Basic understanding of physics and chemistry concepts and principles.
