We're an LA headquartered, remote-working entertainment technology company and creator of Stageverse. A mobile-first, virtual venue platform for XR experiences in the metaverse, at the intersection of live entertainment, gaming, and retail.

 

Stageverse allows millions of people to meet up as avatars in persistent, shared, 3D spaces from major brands, teams, and artists, to socialize, shop, play, and attend exclusive immersive events.


WE’RE SEEKING


A 3D Generalist to help us create beautiful and engaging virtual environments and characters for mobile and VR platforms. This position is remote, however, ideal candidates will be based in the US west coast or are comfortable working primarily within US west coast hours (Pacific Time). RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Work on all aspects of the content pipeline from modeling, texturing, shaders and lighting
  • Create both high and low resolution models of environments, characters, clothes, accessories and props based on concepts, references and/or specifications
  • Ensure a high level of fidelity in terms of modeling, texturing quality and optimization
  • Integrate, assemble and manage scene assets using Maya and Unity (a plus)
  • Help develop, maintain, and iterate on content pipelines
  • Use artistic foundation in shape, structure, composition, color, silhouette, and form to push artistic exploration and requirements of projects as set by leadership
  • Beyond aesthetic skills and knowledge, be aware of current and cutting edge technology for 3d art production trends, processes, tools and techniques


REQUIREMENTS


  • 3+ years of video game industry experience
  • Must have shipped a game, app, experience or equivalent in related field
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of broad 3D and game development fundamentals
  • Must be very well versed in Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop and other relevant software
  • Intimate knowledge of current and emerging asset creation pipelines and workflows, including PBR
  • Experience with game art optimization (using mesh topology, sculpting, and texture methods)
  • Superior eye for lighting, color, composition and detail
  • Ability to excel in a startup environment – strong initiative with the ability to take on new responsibilities quickly and independently
  • Ability to work remotely with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A creative problem-solver and team player with a drive to deliver awe-inspiring work


BONUS POINTS


  • Experience working with the Unity game engine a huge plus
  • Previous Git version control experience
  • Previous character rigging and animation experience
  • Experience with VR
