Talespin is building the spatial computing platform to power talent development and skills mobility for the future of work. Our platform delivers immersive learning and training applications, mixed reality field tools to support employee job performance, and a new skills-based approach to work and productivity. We’re looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join the Talespin team and help us on our mission to transform the way people learn, work and collaborate.
In this role, you will craft compelling narratives to represent our platform’s key components to its target audiences across content creation tools, our growing off-the-shelf immersive learning content library, and skills data and analytics dashboard. The Product Marketing Manager will work with Talespin’s product and marketing teams to foster a deep understanding of our customers and users, own the creation of product messaging, and develop differentiating visual and written marketing materials for use in product launches, campaigns, websites, sales enablement materials, and social media marketing initiatives. The right person for this role combines exceptional communication skills, an ambitious attitude, and a passion for immersive technology (virtual, mixed, and augmented reality) and/or learning technology.
In this role you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, marketing communications, public relations, design, and sales through the complete product development lifecycle to deliver world-class marketing communications.
- Define product positioning, value propositions, and key product messaging for Talespin’s platform.
- Work on key product go-to-market activities throughout the customer journey, including sales enablement materials, education and tutorial content, user guides, and knowledge base materials, as well as contributing to public-facing materials to market our products like digital/content marketing, email newsletters, events, and PR.
- Work with members of our marketing & communications team on public-facing materials associated with product launches and product marketing campaigns such as blog posts, white papers, website landing pages, press releases, and webinars.
- Help manage sales enablement efforts for our internal sales team. This includes the creation of sales materials for our products, distribution of approved materials, communicating updates to sales team members, and distributing materials.
- Help manage sales enablement efforts for our growing list of channel partners and content publishers. This includes the creation of sales materials for our products and co-branded sales materials, distribution of approved materials, communicating product marketing material updates to partner sales teams, and working on co-marketing initiatives with partners.
- Partner with internal product teams to conduct research and gather business insights, including conducting customer surveys and competitor research, and developing customer personas, value propositions, product positioning, and mapping buyer/user journeys.
- Represent the voice of our customers to internal Product Management and Engineering teams, and provide direction on messaging, branding, product positioning and planning that leads to successful product adoption.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the market dynamics, competitive landscape, and technology trends that impact our business and products across AR/VR, learning platforms, enterprise software, and emerging technologies.
Education/ Experience we are looking for:
- BS/BA Degree preferred; MS/MA/MBA a plus
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing or product management; experience marketing AR/VR technology, learning platforms, enterprise software, or emerging technologies a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B or technology marketing at a fast-paced company, and will be able to communicate how and why our products can provide meaningful value.
- A track record in formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; thrives in highly collaborative projects, effective at building consensus, handles high stakes decisions with ease, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Proven oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to non-technical partners.
- Experience conducting customer and market research, including user surveys and competitive landscape analysis.
- The ideal candidate will be creative and display strong communication, organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Comfort with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
- Experience partnering with external agencies and contractors, and internal Product Management and Engineering organizations
- Experience communicating to a variety of audiences, including both technical and consumer
- Project management experience is a plus
