We are a San Diego based start-up founded by Dr. Paul Jacobs, Derek Aberle and Matt Grob in 2018 to keep inventing with a team of the world’s most creative engineers and business executives. As former CEO and Chairman of Qualcomm, Dr. Jacobs spearheaded its efforts to develop and commercialize fundamental mobile technology breakthroughs that fueled the wireless internet and smartphone revolutions. Our cutting edge wireless solutions will enable the most exciting Metaverse and Industry 4.0 applications. We have developed an e2e wireless solution for high performance, low-latency multi-user VR/AR applications such as Location Based Entertainment, high value training, telemedicine, immersive visualization, and education. In addition, our highly differentiated 5G Super RAN delivers unprecedented capacity increases over conventional 5G systems. This enables industrial automation and hotspot capacity with limited spectrum in dense urban areas, venues, stadiums, campuses, manufacturing plants, and warehouses.

What is the opportunity?
This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead our business in key verticals, such as manufacturing, warehouses, airports, venues, campuses, commercial real-estate, sports & entertainment, telco, healthcare, public sector, and education.
As the Head of BD, Enterprise, you will:
- Own and execute the GTM strategy for defined enterprise verticals.
- Identify, develop, and close key opportunities for XCOM’s solutions in these verticals.
- Secure key customer pilots and deals with strong growth potential.
- Build a sales pipeline with QoQ and YoY growth.
- Develop sell-with/sell-through strategies with partners (eg SIs, Webscalers, PNOs/MNOs) toward these enterprises.
- Own and lead the customer proposals including commercial strategy and pricing.
- Capture key customer requirements as inputs toward product development/ engineering.
- Drive customer focused value proposition and messaging.
What you will bring:
- 10+ years of experience in digital technology business development and sales toward two or more verticals mentioned above.
- Strong C-Suite network of customers and partners in targeted verticals.
- Proven track record in building & scaling new businesses (particularly through partners).
- Strong knowledge of technologies, such as 5G, Private 5G, CBRS/SAS/Domain Proxy, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mobile Edge Compute, and Cloud computing.
- Proven track record of developing compelling value proposition and business case leveraging key technology differentiators and enablers.
- Passion for next gen Metaverse and Industry 4.0 applications.
- Pro-active, self-starter approach: proven ability to initiate, develop and lead customer/partner engagements with limited support.
- Strong business acumen and outcome driven approach.
- Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills, and executive presence.
- Hands-on, “roll up the sleeves” type style to get things done in a start-up.
- Drive to make a big impact.
- Excellent team-working and collaborative skills.
- Educational background – technology/engineering degree (required) and MBA (preferred).
