As part of Axon’s VR & AR team, you’ll be a key leader driving new content development and execution that will define the future of augmented and virtual reality use in Public Safety applications. We see leveraging the technology for training applications to be the first stop on our journey.

You will join an interdisciplinary team tackling the biggest challenges in public safety training head-on, including immersive VR-based empathy development training and de-escalation training to help officers engage with the communities they serve with greater awareness and safety.

As Executive Producer for Axon’s Virtual and Augmented Reality program, you'll play a critical role in building the future of VR & AR content in public safety and training. You'll engage with and be the primary owner of Axon’s key relationships with outside developers and content partners to create innovative XR solutions.

  • Develop an Active and Diverse Virtual Platform: Leverage the latest in AR & VR technologies to create a robust portfolio of solutions and the highest-quality content, that enable users to be more effective in their roles and manage the challenges of 21st century public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Own all facets of end-to-end VR production with external developer partners
  • Oversee development and production of VR content solutions and ensure project milestones and deliverables are executed within scope & schedule while maintaining high quality
  • Partner with Product Management and creative teams to execute on projects that meet customer needs and deliver continuous value, ensure a consistent experience across development efforts that align to Axon brand.
  • Gather and provide design and development feedback to developers and content partners
  • Create, maintain, and drive project schedules, milestones, benchmarks, and release plans to successful launch
  • Oversee developer relations, including selection process and negotiations with outsourcing partners, while driving the contracts process
  • Lead regular planning and review sessions with key stakeholders, providing clear expectations and accountability while anticipating and mitigating risks ahead of time
  • Responsibility for QA and Localization, adherence to platform specifications and requirements, and ongoing product support including software updates

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum twelve (12) years of game development experience in VR and videogame production
  • Experience leading global production teams, including strong expertise directing external developer studios
  • Proven track record guiding, driving, and influencing teams to launch of multiple high quality productions on-time and within budget
  • Expertise in creative design, mechanics, and gamification techniques for engagement and replayability
  • Strong background in developer relations, budgeting, project management, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing, legal, SMEs, and others
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders, including executive leaders
  • Passion for Immersive Technologies, developers, and all things XR/VR/AR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching multiple VR products and producing enterprise VR content
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects and developer engagements
