The FRL Platform and Product Partnerships team is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced individual to help drive game and other interactive content deals for virtual reality across all regions. Facebook Reality Labs and the Metaverse product group bring together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and platform.Our agile team is looking for someone passionate about the future of games and hardware, and the creation of new ecosystems. You will be required to handle multiple projects across a new industry and negotiate effectively across a wide spectrum of partners. Responsibilities
  • Define and execute large scale licensing program for in-game content
  • Negotiate deals for asset, likeness, and middleware licensing
  • Manage partnerships between internal game studios and external licensors
  • Operate effectively with external partners ranging from large game publishers and major media companies to small indie developers
  • Work closely with internal producers to support key titles on business and operational issues throughout development and post-launch
  • Work cross-functionally with content, marketing, legal, finance, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms, drive special projects, advocate internally for partners, and educate on industry norms
Minimum Qualification
  • 12+ years of work experience, including 8+ years of related business development experience
  • Experience in content acquisition and asset licensing
  • Experience interpreting legal documents, negotiating contracts, and working with attorneys to complete agreements
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
  • Demonstrated experience developing working relationships inside and outside of a company
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Demonstrated communication skills
Preferred Qualification
  • BA/BS degree
  • JD or MBA
  • 15+ years work experience, 10+ years in games BD
  • Experience in promotional partnerships for sponsored content
  • Experience in a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous start-up environment
  • Experience in the games industry working with developers, publishers, and hardware platforms
