IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Help define and implement data strategies that include a common Data Framework as well as Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models.
- Architect, design, and build relational and dimensional data models.
- Analyze, document and design scalable and sustainable data architecture and data .transformation processes.
- Be a technical data architect for innovation projects at Valence focused on a variety of emerging areas including: AI/ML, AR/VR, Robotics/RPA, IoT, Voice & Chat.
- Lead data/information/BI architecture design reviews.
- Work in a team environment leveraging a variety of project environments including: Agile/Scrum, Kanban and ITLC.
- We expect you to take smart risks and champion new ideas.
WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF HAVE:
- A passion for exploring the latest technology trends and techniques in the industry.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect.
- Experience across all phases of data modeling, from conceptualization to database optimization for performance and scale.
- Experience in the assessment, architectural design, and implementation of data design patterns.
- Experience leading data discovery sessions with business users, data analysts and cross-team technologists to understand enterprise data requirements.
- Experience in designing and implementing data governance processes & strategies.
- Experience in leading large scale cloud enterprise data projects including the integration with 3rd party data sources.
- Extensive hands-on experience in data warehousing design, ETL and SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
- Recent hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Azure/AWS/GCP, Data Modeling, CI/CD.
- Recent experience with Snowflake and/or Redshift and/or Azure Databricks preferred.
- Experience with business and technical requirement analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and data mapping.
- Knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, IoT, robotics, voice & chat or AR/VR is a plus.
- Experience with HIPPA and personal data compliance is highly desirable.
- Strong critical & creative thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience communicating and presenting ideas and solutions to senior managers and C-level executives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
