General Summary

As a member of the Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL) engineering team, the candidate will be working with various functional teams from different business units within Qualcomm and also with external ecosystem partners to identify and analyze system level problems, and to innovate in important areas such as 5G, automotive, machine learning, multimedia, computer vision, mobile edge computing, augmented/virtual reality, security and user interface.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Developing and managing technology roadmap to strengthen Qualcomm’s IP portfolio and licensing business
• Creating overarching system strategy for the projects that can enable the ecosystem partners differentiate their products
• Designing algorithms and procedures for systems engineering
• Theoretical analysis and simulation of features, algorithms, and implementation choices
• Researching about emerging technical trends in key technology areas
• Analyzing smartphone/automotive/IOT/XR requirements
• Documenting and presenting specifications, designs, and other results
• Supporting the implementation and commercialization of features
• Clear and accurate communication both verbally and in writing
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems

Work Experiences

7+ years of Systems engineering or related work experience.

Work Experiences

1+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports. ,2+ years supervisory experience. ,2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above) ,3+ years experience with Testing Software such as Bugzilla, LoadRunner, etc. ,3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,3+ years experience with Database Management Software. ,3+ years experience with Development Environment Software such as Apache Maven, Ruby, etc. ,12+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
